An updated Chinese standard on the installation of external lighting and light signalling devices for motor vehicles and their trailers, GB 4785-2019, has recently been published. The requirements contained in this updated standard are more closely aligned with those specified within UN ECE Regulation No. 48.06 incorporating Supplements 1 to 6, and mandate the fitment of daytime running lamps to motor vehicles. The updated standard also now includes specific requirements relating to manoeuvring lamps, cornering lamps, conspicuity marking, rear-end collision alert signals (RECAS) and adaptive front lighting systems (AFS).
This new Chinese Standard is available on InterRegs.NET for our China subscribers, and is also available at www.selectregs.com.
