The InterRegs Legislation Implementation Dates (LID) database contains information on the introduction dates for all upcoming changes to European Union, United Nations (ECE) and US Federal automotive legislation. LID allows users to create customised reports of the upcoming legislation affecting their products, and all documents are linked to www.selectregs.com and available for immediate purchase and download.

 

Key:

  • Bus - Motor vehicle designed and constructed for the carriage of passengers with more than 9 seats, including the driver (10 seats, including the driver, for US Federal entries).
  • Car - Motor vehicle designed and constructed for the carriage of passengers with not more than 9 seats, including the driver (10 seats, including the driver, for US Federal entries).
  • Component - A constituent part used in the construction of a motor vehicle or trailer.
  • Heavy Truck - Motor vehicle designed and constructed for the carriage of goods with a maximum vehicle mass exceeding 3500 kg.
  • Light Truck - Motor vehicle designed and constructed for the carriage of goods with a maximum vehicle mass not exceeding 3500 kg.
  • Trailer - Vehicle designed and constructed to be towed behind a motor vehicle.
  • Manufactured - The date after which all newly manufactured vehicles meet the new or revised requirements.
  • New Registrations - The date after which all new vehicles being sold and first registered must meet the new or revised requirements (i.e. the date by which all existing models must have been updated to meet the new or revised requirements).
  • New Type Approvals - The date after which all new types of vehicle (i.e. new models which are being type approved for the first time) must meet the new or revised requirements.

Notes:

  • As a default condition, the LID database shows only forthcoming legislative implementation dates (i.e. those occurring in the future). To view historical legislative implementation dates, simply enter a past date in the "Date from" box (e.g. enter 01/01/2007 to view all legislative implementation dates from the start of 2007 onwards).
