InterRegs are pleased to announce that Dr. Montajir Rahman, Senior R&D Engineer and Application Specialist of Horiba Instruments, Inc., is the winner of the 2020 SAE/InterRegs Standards and Regulations Award.
Dr. Rahman has been recognised for his significant achievements in establishing global automobile emission standard and testing solutions. Dr. Rahman made an important contribution to the Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) Particle Measurement Programme (PMP) which resulted in the development of European Particle Number (PN) legislation. As well as designing the PN measurement protocol and the tests used to validate this principle, Dr. Rahman developed the HORIBA Solid Particle Counting System which has since become the standard tool for PN regulatory compliance testing throughout the global auto-industry.
An engraved award and US$1000 honorarium will be presented to Dr. Rahman by InterRegs during the 2020 SAE Government/Industry Meeting in Washington DC, which is to be held next year from 22-24 January 2020.
