On May 26, 2020, the new Implementing Regulation specifying the administrative requirements to allow for the implementation of EU Regulation 2018/858 on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. This new Regulation, EU Regulation 2020/683, specifies the templates to be followed for type approval information documents, type approval certificates and Certificates of Conformity, and details the type approval numbering and type approval marking requirements.
