NHTSA Allows More Time for Comments Regarding Part 572 Hybrid III 5th Percentile Female Test Dummy
On June 2, 2020 the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) published in the Federal Register (F.R. Vol. 85 No. 106, [Docket No. NHTSA-2019-0023]) that the comment period for the Part 572 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) issued in December 2019 with original comment period closing on February 24, 2020, is reopened until August 3, 2020.

New Implementing Regulation for (EU) 2018/858 Published
On May 26, 2020, the new Implementing Regulation specifying the administrative requirements to allow for the implementation of EU Regulation 2018/858 on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
