On February 1, 2023 (F.R. Vol. 88 No. 21) the FMCSA issued a Supplemental Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (SANPRM) requesting additional comments (previous advance notice (ANPRM) on May 28, 2019) regarding safe integration of Automated Driving Systems (ADS) being considered for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs). Actions could involve amended, revised, or eliminated regulations for commercial motor vehicles (CMVs). Comments are due by March 20, 2023.
