The 24th session of the UN ECE Working Party on Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles (GRVA) is scheduled to take place on January 19-23, 2026. Topics to be discussed at this meeting include the development of a new UN ECE Regulation and a new UN Global Technical Regulation (GTR) on Automated Driving Systems (ADS), proposed amendments to Regulation No. 79 on steering equipment to enable the type approval of automated vehicles without manual driving controls and proposed amendments to both Regulation No. 171 on Driver Control Assistance Systems (DCAS) and Regulation No. 178 on Emergency Lane Keeping Systems (ELKS) to refine their requirements and update them to reflect the latest developments in technology.
