In a break from the norm for United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) GR meetings, part of the upcoming session of the Working Party on Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles (GRVA) will take place at a venue other than Geneva in Switzerland.
Whilst the 'formal' part of the 25th session of GRVA will be held in Geneva on June 23, 2026, an 'informal' part of the 25th session will take place at the International Civil Aviation Organisation building in Montreal, Canada on May 18-22, 2026. The timing and location for this 'informal' part of the 25th GRVA session have been chosen to align with the 28th International Conference on the Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV), which will take place in Toronto, Canada on May 12-15, 2026.
During this 'informal' part of the 25th GRVA session, the hosts are planning to organise exhibitions, technology demonstrations and a visit to Transport Canada.
