InterRegs are currently contacting participants and contributors for their panel on Harmonization of Global Regulations - the title of their technical session to be held at the annual SAE Government Industry Meeting, in Washington DC, 9-11 May this year.

The automotive business has long ago turned from a multi-national character to one that is global in operation among vehicle producers. Therefore regulatory harmonization continues to be an important sought after element to reduce the exorbitant cost due to the complexities of multiple design, test and manufacturing operations that are then passed on to the consumer. Since regulatory harmonization continues as a high priority, both government and Industry will present areas of interest, need and/or achievement for regulatory harmonization efforts to be pursued in both the short and long term. Updated viewpoints and initiatives will be presented in a discussion of this topic with a Q&A from the audience to the panel.

This session is being co-organised by InterRegs, for the industry perspective, and NHTSA for the government's.
