The 130th session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) Working Party on General Safety Provisions (GRSG) is scheduled to take place on October 6-9, 2025 and the 93rd session of the UN ECE Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) is scheduled to take place on October 14-17, 2025. Topics to be discussed at the GRSG meeting include proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No's 160 and 169 on event data recorders for light and heavy duty vehicles respectively to introduce provisions for vehicles equipped with automated driving systems (ADS), proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 116 on anti-theft and alarm systems to clarify the test procedures applicable to immobilisers and the development of new UN ECE Regulations on driver drowsiness and attention warning (DDAW) systems and on advanced driver distraction warning (ADDW) systems. Topics to be discussed at the GRPE meeting include proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No's 83, 154 and 168 on light duty vehicle emissions, worldwide harmonised light vehicle test procedures (WLTP) and real driving emissions respectively to align their requirements with the latest Euro 7 emissions requirements and the development of a new UN ECE Regulation on onboard monitoring (OBM) systems for in use vehicle emissions performance.
