The 198th session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) World Forum for Harmonisation of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) is scheduled to take place between March 10-13, 2026. Amongst the proposed Supplements and Series of Amendments submitted for potential adoption at this meeting are:

  • An 02 Series of Amendments to Regulation No. 40 on emissions of gaseous pollutants from motorcycles.
  • An 05 Series of Amendments to Regulation No. 79 on steering equipment.
  • An 09 Series of Amendments to Regulation No. 83 on emissions of pollutants from light duty vehicles.
  • An 04 Series of Amendments to Regulation No. 154 on WLTP testing of light duty vehicles.
  • An 01 Series of Amendments to Regulation No. 168 on real driving emissions (RDE) testing.
  • A draft new Regulation (No. 179?) on the laboratory measurement on brake emissions from light duty vehicles.
  • A draft new Regulation (No. 180?) on onboard monitoring (OBM) systems, environmental vehicle passports (EVP) and in-vehicle display of environmental data.
  • A draft new Regulation (No. 181?) on engine fire suppressions systems.
  • A draft new Regulation (No. 182?) on driver drowsiness and attention warning (DDAW) systems.
  • A draft new Regulation (No. 183?) on advanced driver distraction warning (ADDW) systems.
