Upcoming UN ECE Working Party on Passive Safety (GRSP) Meeting

The 76th session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) Working Party on Passive Safety (GRSP) is scheduled to take place on December 2-6, 2024 in Geneva. Topics to be discussed at this meeting include proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 14 on safety belt anchorages to introduce requirements covering "extended use positions" for the seat, i.e. more reclined seat back positions, proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 17 on seats and head restraints to improve their whiplash performance for occupants of smaller stature, especially female drivers, and proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 134 on hydrogen fuel systems to clarify the application the existing test requirements, in particular the application of the test requirements to thermally activated pressure relief devices (TPRDs) and their supply lines.
