Upcoming United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) Working Party Meetings

The 126th session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) Working Party on General Safety Provisions (GRSG) is scheduled to take place on October 10-13, 2023 and the 89th session of the UN ECE Working Party on Lighting and Light Signalling (GRE) is scheduled to take place on October 24-27, 2023. Topics to be discussed at the GRSG meeting include a new UN ECE Regulation on event data recorders for heavy duty vehicles and proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 46 on devices for indirect vision, Regulation No. 158 on reversing motion and Regulation No. 167 on vulnerable road users direct vision. Topics to be discussed at the GRE meeting include a proposed 09 Series of Amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 48 on the installation of lighting and light signalling devices, a proposed 07 Series of Amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 10 on electromagnetic compatibility and some further proposed amendments to UN ECE Regulation No. 48 on the installation of lighting and light signalling devices to accommodate specific light signalling requirements for autonomous vehicles.
